Make the Cookie Dough
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
Add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until combined.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Assemble the Bars
Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Press the cookie dough evenly into the pan, smoothing the top.
Prepare the Chocolate Topping
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil (or butter) in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate over the cookie dough and spread evenly.
Chill & Serve
Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until set.
Slice into bars and enjoy!
