Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bars

Ingredients
  

  • For the Cookie Dough**
  • - ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • - ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 2 tbsp milk
  • - 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour heat-treated*
  • - ½ tsp salt
  • - ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • For the Chocolate Topping**
  • - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • - 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter

Instructions
 

  • Make the Cookie Dough
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
  • Add the heat-treated flour and salt, mixing until combined.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  • Assemble the Bars
  • Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Press the cookie dough evenly into the pan, smoothing the top.
  • Prepare the Chocolate Topping
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil (or butter) in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the cookie dough and spread evenly.
  • Chill & Serve
  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hours, or until set.
  • Slice into bars and enjoy!
